In order to reduce the project cost, some businesses use dyed stones instead of ceramic aggregates. How to distinguish between dyed stones and colored ceramic particles
1. Dyed stone has rich colors. Because of its surface coloring, the color is fixed under 400 ℃. So there is a wide range of colors for choosing.
2. The dyed stone is only colored on the surface, so it will fade more easily after a long time
3. The dyed stone is not fired under high temperature (usually the ceramic aggregate firing temperature is 900 degrees or 1380 degrees), and the Mohs hardness is very low.
4. The dyed stone is transparent inside under the light, while the ceramic aggregates the whole body is one color.
