Color non-slip pavement adhesives are used on some moderately wet and humid road sections with high temperature. Because the surface layer is not breathable, the water accumulated in the roadbed and the base layer due to the temperature and humidity gradient can not be removed through the surface layer. Poor water stability will reduce its strength and rigidity and cause road damage. Generally, materials with better water stability should be selected as the base layer of the colorful non-slip pavement, especially the wet and humid road sections. In addition, in the wet and over-wet road sections with poor hydrogeological conditions, in addition to strengthening the roadbed drainage, technical measures such as low-dose lime stabilizing the upper layer of the roadbed soil or adding granular cushions can be used for treatment to improve the roadbed water temperature.

In seasonally frozen areas with large freezing depths, when the roadbed soil is easily frost-heave soil, the hazards of frost heave and mud boiling should be considered. To determine the total thickness of the pavement, in addition to meeting the requirements for mechanical strength, it should also meet the requirements for the thickness of the antifreeze layer to avoid thick ice accumulating zones on the inner side of the roadbed, resulting in uneven frost heave and cracking of the road surface. When using colorful anti-skid pavement adhesives in wet road construction, we must pay attention to the influence of unfavorable water temperature conditions, otherwise it will have a great impact on the later use of anti-skid pavement, and may even affect the service life.
